Ai Wearable

Ai Wearable Bracelet That Hears Everything You Say! Are You Ready?

Every year, CES brings us closer to a space that we once thought to only exist in science fiction. This year, they have introduced something truly transformative that truly stood out, a bracelet. Not the ordinary ones we have seen, but like a smartwatch with a twist, it listens to all your conversations. It is the reality we are living in right now. I found it interesting that it does not just track fitness. It is the next evolution of smart wrist wearable that actually listens to your daily conversations, uses AI to summarize them in real-time as in the case of meetings and reminds you of follow-ups or decisions you made. Imagine a bracelet helping you in turning spoken chaos into giving clarity by summarizing the details. For a professional, it is like having a personal secretary on your wrist which is always attentive and really efficient. But beneath this convenience lies a question of concern, that are we ready for our wearables to become witnesses to our daily lives? From fitness to listening Smartwatches started off with simple steps like heart rate monitors mainly to track fitness. Over the years, they have evolved to be our health companions that are capable of detecting several irregularities related to our health. Now, there is this new device that does not just track the body but extends to more like interpreting our words, moods and interactions. The CES 2025 bracelet marks an important turning point. It does not just capture data but it captures each context. By listening continuously and analysing our speech, it offers summaries of meetings, extracts key decisions and reminds you about tasks you might have mentioned in any conversation. It makes your job simpler. You do not have to take notes and there would be no missed details. It acts like a passive meeting assistant that works in the background of your life. It gives a glimpse into a future where our devices not just connect it to our bodies, it also connects it to our identities. You talk, it listens and AI interprets the words. You must be thinking how convenient it is! When convenience meets surveillance But as fascinating as this sounds, it also brings us to think about one of the most complex ethical dilemmas that circles around it. It is the dilemma between convenience and privacy. What happens when your wearable does not just know your heart rate, but also the private conversations you had with someone? What if it listens to some confidential discussion? It offers no privacy. These are not any hypothetical concerns, they are the new realities where devices fade into the background but in reality, they never truly turn off. As someone working in the health tech field, I find this both thrilling and at the same time deeply concerning. The personal data are not exactly personal. And that changes the definition of ‘personal data’. As developers and engineers, we often celebrate what is possible. But rarely we pause to ask what is actually allowed or permitted. Our challenge as developers is not about technology alone, there are ethical challenges. Building an AI powered product that can transcribe speech, analyse sentiments or generate summaries is pretty common today. The real complexity lies in ensuring the consent and protection of the data that are captured and used. There should be certain principles to be maintained like: Should the user have full control over what is being recorded? Should others be notified when the device works in shared spaces? Should they be allowed to work in sensitive environments? The responsibility that lies ahead We are actually entering a privacy battleground. It is an open space where innovations will constantly clash with the individual rights. In health tech, how much data we can collect is no longer the core concern but how responsibly we can handle it is the key. When technology begins to view our lives this closely, every single element in designing it becomes a moral decision. Innovations are unstoppable but it should never be non-negotiable. This is not just a change in the tech game. There is an underlying aspect of change in trust. To maintain the trust of the user is the responsibility of the developers. As someone deeply rooted in IT and ethics, I believe that our generation of developers carries a burden as well as a privilege to shape the moral and ethical foundations of tomorrow’s technology. We ought to not just build tech products, we should build ethically binding tech products. So, finally the question is simple: Are you ready to take up the responsibility of innovating health tech ethically?

Notion Project Management Template: Features, Workflow, and Setup Explained

You’ve tried sticky notes, spreadsheets, and maybe a dozen apps, but your projects still feel scattered. The Notion project management template is a pre-built system inside Notion that helps you plan, track, and deliver projects without starting from scratch. It gives you a central place to manage tasks, deadlines, and team collaboration — all in one flexible workspace. But here’s the truth: without a clear setup, even the best template can become a digital mess. I’ve seen teams spend hours tweaking views only to abandon the whole thing. Let me show you exactly how to avoid that and build a workflow that actually works. What Is the Notion Project Management Template? Think of it as a ready-made project hub. Instead of building a task tracker from blank pages, you get a connected system of databases, views, and properties that handle the heavy lifting. The template usually includes a task database, a project database, and sometimes a meeting notes or resource database — all linked together. You might be wondering: is it just a to-do list? Not quite. The Notion template uses relational databases, so you can connect tasks to projects, assign owners, set priorities, and filter views by status. It’s a lightweight but powerful way to see your project progress at a glance. The best part? You can customize every bit of it. Change the properties, add new views, or embed calendars. The template is a starting point, not a cage. Key Features of the Notion Project Management Template I want to break down what you actually get inside the template and why each piece matters. Here’s what makes it tick: Connected task and project databases— link every task to a parent project, so you never lose context. Multiple views— switch between a board, timeline, calendar, or table depending on what you need to see right now. Custom properties— add status, priority, assignee, due date, and any other field that fits your workflow. Filtering and sorting— quickly isolate tasks assigned to you, overdue items, or high-priority work. Team collaboration— comment on tasks, mention teammates, and share the workspace with real-time updates. Template buttons— generate recurring project structures or meeting notes with one click. A concrete example: a marketing team uses the board view to track content pieces. Each card is a task linked to a campaign project. The calendar view shows deadlines, and a filtered table shows only “In review” items for the editor. That’s the kind of clarity most teams lack. How to Set Up the Notion Project Management Template Setting it up feels overwhelming if you try to do everything at once. I’ll walk you through a step-by-step approach that works for any team size. Duplicate the template.Notion’s template gallery has a solid “Project Management” Click “Duplicate” to add it to your workspace. Rename it to something meaningful, like “Product Launch HQ.” Define your project hierarchy.Decide how you’ll structure work. I recommend a top-level project database with a linked task database. Each project can have sub-items, but keep it simple at first. Customize the properties.Open the task database and add properties that matter: “Priority” (High, Medium, Low), “Sprint” (if you work in sprints), “Estimated hours,” or “Blocked.” Delete any you won’t use. Create your core views.Set up a board grouped by status, a timeline to see deadlines, and a filtered table for “My tasks.” Don’t build 10 views on day one — start with three. Link other databases. If you have a separate meeting notes or resource database, create a relation property so you can link them to projects. This keeps everything connected. Add template buttons.Create a button that generates a new project with a pre-set task list. For recurring workflows, this saves you hours every month. Invite your team and set permissions.Share the workspace and make sure everyone knows how to use the views. A quick 10-minute walkthrough prevents a lot of confusion later. Here’s why this order matters: you avoid the trap of over-engineering the template before you’ve even used it. Get the basics right, then refine. Project Management Workflow in Notion: A Practical Example Let me walk you through a typical workflow so you can see how the pieces fit together. I’ll use a software development project as an example. You start with a project page for “Mobile App v2.0.” Inside, you have a linked database of tasks. Every morning, you open the “My Tasks” filtered view to see what’s assigned to you. You drag a card from “To Do” to “In Progress,” and the status updates instantly. During a weekly review, the team opens the timeline view to check if any milestone is slipping. The PM adds a new task, links it to the project, and assigns it to a developer. Because the task database has a “Priority” property, the developer sees it near the top of their filtered view the next day. When a task gets blocked, the assignee changes the status to “Blocked” and adds a comment explaining why. The PM gets a notification and can jump in. At the end of the sprint, you filter the board by “Done” and see the completed work. No extra tools, no spreadsheets floating around. Common Challenges with Notion Project Management Even with the template, you’ll hit a few bumps. I’ve seen these issues over and over, and there are practical fixes for each. Challenge 1: The template becomes a dumping ground. Team members add tasks without updating properties, and the board turns into a mess. Solution: Create a single required property — like “Status” — and train everyone to update it. Use a filtered view that hides tasks without a status to make the gap obvious. Challenge 2: Too many views confuse the team. A workspace with 15 views looks impressive but nobody uses it. Solution: Keep only the views that answer a specific question: “What should I work on today?” (My Tasks), “What’s due this week?” (Calendar), “Where are we stuck?” (Blocked items). Archive the rest. Challenge 3: Notion lacks native reporting and velocity tracking. You can build a rough dashboard, but it’s not

Impact of AI on Smartwatches in Today’s Life

You might have heard of AI chat GPT from late 2022; it was practical to use on computer systems or smartphones to provide your required information quickly and easily. However, nowadays, artificial intelligence has been dramatically used through various high-tech services and devices. Is AI genuinely effective in improving smart devices like smartwatches? As we know, smartwatches have been designed for accessing our phones remotely and receiving some info like our activities and overall health. But they aren’t convenient for typing, scrolling, and watching videos due to their small screens. Generative AI can change the game. Here, we will discuss how smartwatches have been affected by AI. Summarizing Long Notifications To solve the scrolling problem and reading long notifications, AI could summarize these notifications, and you would receive a summary of the notifications on your smartwatch. It can also be practical for reading long articles and news, while the AI shortens the process, which is time-saving. Designing Custom Watch Faces With the aid of AI, some famous companies like Google and Samsung let you make your desired background for your watch face. You can order whatever you like by a prompt. For example, you can get AI to design a wallpaper of elegant watch faces that showcase the weather and date in the center and put your activities at the bottom. This will be increasingly time-saving. Voice Commands for Smartwatch Control Virtual helpers like Siri or Google Assistant help you avoid typing and tapping on a tiny screen that is ridiculously annoying. These voice-powered assistants are practical for setting alerts and timers on your smartwatch or for typing. You can also be informed about your health by questioning an AI-powered health coach. Siri on Apple Watches and Google Assistant on Wear OS watches enable you to send messages, play music, read news, book a reservation, track activities, and many other things just with your voice. This can be an awesome option for elderly people and when your hands are busy working or driving your car. AI in Health Disease Diagnosis (AI)-enabled smartwatches are designed professionally to monitor your heart rate continuously and detect any potential cardiovascular diseases. In these cases, there are some difficulties with the blood vessels or the heart. So, AI has had a prominent effect on medicine by tackling different medical conditions. Some studies from Florida Atlantic University have shown that AI is more effective than radiologists in diagnosing breast cancer, with higher sensitivity and better early detection. Moreover, AI-powered systems streamline specimen handling in testing. The aging population and increasing use of EHR systems are driving the adoption of AI. Therefore, patients could enjoy the convenience of remote monitoring, fewer hospital visits, and better care consistency. Another study from the UK Dementia Institute has proven that AI-enabled smartwatches, by using a machine learning algorithm, can provide data to predict Parkinson’s disease seven years before the symptoms show. Totally, we can state that AI is transforming healthcare by providing personalized care and quick diagnostics, but also disrupting traditional practices. While AI models improve efficiency and personalization, challenges like data privacy, bias, and transparency need to be addressed and fixed. AI-Powered Fitness and Training Plans It has also been proven that AI-powered tools can create personalized training plans based on a user’s physical traits, fitness level, and preferred workout time. The AI tracks progress and adjusts the training intensity based on fatigue and fitness changes. You can also improve your running routines with the aid of data from AI-powered smartwatches. Conclusion AI has greatly enhanced smartwatches, making them more personalized and efficient. AI helps summarize notifications, create custom watch faces, and allows voice-powered assistants to handle tasks without hand needs. In healthcare, AI enables continuous monitoring, early disease detection, and personalized care. AI also improves fitness tracking with tailored training plans. Despite challenges such as data privacy, AI is transforming smartwatches by providing greater convenience and enhanced health management.

Smart motion sensors: Understanding home technology

Modern motion sensors have been around for decades, and smart home sensors are bringing this long-appreciated technology to the next level. With the latest and greatest in detection methods, there are myriad applications to make your home life safer and more convenient. What are smart motion sensors? Motion sensors detect movement using either ultrasonic sound waves or passive infrared (PIR) monitoring. Ultrasonic waves bounce off surfaces to detect movement, while PIR sensors measure temperature. Both can be combined with other smart home devices to perform basic functions like turn lights on, adjust thermostats or activate alarms. Some smart devices will learn your habits and routines to automate everyday things. For example, smart devices can turn indoor lights on when you arrive home from work, or lock every door and window when it’s time for bed. Smart moisture, flood & water leak sensors The usefulness of smart motion detection goes way beyond the convenience of everyday life. Both at home and in industrial contexts, motion sensors are used to detect leaks and prevent potential hazards. A smart water leak sensor can be installed directly on your water main to monitor the flow and pressure of water. In case of malfunction, the sensor will push an alert to your mobile devices or smart home hub – much better than discovering a leak when it’s already caused damage. Security, privacy & smart sensors Security is a classic application of motion sensor technology. Some common examples would be motion detector lights or door and window sensors. Smart doorbell cameras work by detecting motion outside your door to alert you to visitors, deliveries or potential threats. Smart home devices with battery powered or wireless motion sensors have myriad uses – to control your smart thermostat, smart lights or improve your home security system. If you’re interested in taking advantage of this technology, research your options to find the best smart home sensors for your needs.

AI-powered hearing aids work with the brain to enhance sound clarity

ReSound Sensia uses advanced technology to amplify the speech the wearer is trying to focus on at any given moment. GN announces ReSound Sensia, a new family of premium hearing aids built on the company’s new artificial intelligence (AI) platform. ReSound Sensia combines the world’s most accurate environmental classifier, an advanced 4-microphone directional beamformer and deep neural network (DNN) noise reduction to automatically lift the speech the user wants to focus on. This combination of technologies has been proven to tackle hearing in noisy environments by world-renowned institutions and by users in real-world scenarios. “Hearing aids that use DNN noise reduction can suppress background noise, but most do so without reference to what the listener actually wants to hear,” says Peter Justesen, president, GN’s Hearing division. “In practice, this means the loudest voice in the environment is amplified, even though it is often not the one the user is trying to follow. ReSound Sensia highlights the speech people want to focus on. This is made possible with a new AI platform in combination with a trio of leading technologies that work with the brain to deliver clarity.” ReSound Sensia is powered by GN’s new AI platform and introduces Intelligent All-Around, an innovative approach to sound processing. At the heart of the Intelligent All-Around feature, AcoustIQ accurately classifies the sound environment in real time, with 88% greater accuracy in classification and feature engagement than the closest premium solution. This ensures features are activated at the moment when they are needed, ensuring the hearing aid user receives the greatest hearing benefit in that environment. AcoustIQ orchestrates ReSound Sensia’s 4-microphone beamforming technology that allows users to focus on what they want to hear by simply facing the speech source, together with a new DNN denoising approach that automatically helps lift conversations. “We’ve taken a user-centred approach with ReSound Sensia, building in multiple technical innovations that are orchestrated by AcoustIQ, which accurately classifies the listening environment and activates each feature when the user needs it,” adds Laurel Christensen, Ph.D., chief audiology officer at GN. “ReSound Sensia can be trusted to engage the features that best improve hearing in noise when they are needed while not making the decision of what to hear for the listener. For HCPs this automatic engagement translates into practice outcomes as performance in difficult environments no longer depends on the patient remembering to change programs.” Designed to work with Cochlear sound processors GN is also introducing ReSound Sensia Bimodal and ReSound Enzo IA Bimodal, designed to work with Cochlear Nucleus sound processors to support integrated performance, reliable connectivity, and a seamless bimodal hearing experience. This latest step in GN’s collaboration with Cochlear through the Smart Hearing Alliance reflects the shared dedication to the journey and commitment to delivering state-of-the-art bimodal solutions. Smart Plugs vs. Smart Outlets: Which One Belongs in Your Home?

Trying to smarten up your home? Electrical outlets are an easy place to start. If you’re looking for a low-commitment way to add smarts to your home, consider the electrical outlets. Smart plugs and smart wall outlets add instant connectivity and remote control to anything that’s plugged into one, but there are differences in price, installation and usability that might make one the clear better choice for your burgeoning smart home. Smart plugs are the simpler option: You plug them directly into an existing outlet, and they add a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth receiver between the wall and whatever you’re powering. No installation required. Smart outlets, on the other hand, replace your existing wall outlet entirely, sit flush with the wall and don’t eat up any outlet space. There are clear advantages to both. Having used both types in my own home, I’ve outlined the several pros and cons to consider before making a pick. Smart outlets offer permanence and aesthetics Consider installing a smart outlet in places where a standard smart plug is vulnerable to unplugging, such as a child’s bedroom or a narrow hallway. Likewise, smart outlets are ideal for locations that require extra security. For example, they are a no-brainer for smart home systems in short-term rentals, such as Airbnb and Vrbo. The more permanent nature of smart wall outlets is also beneficial for local smart home protocols that operate without an internet connection, such as Z-Wave, Zigbee and Thread. This type of smart home system remains in place when you sell a house, providing an extra incentive for prospective buyers. However, smart outlets are an intermediate DIY install project that many people would find too troublesome. You also have to consider that hiring an electrician to do the work will drastically increase the price of smart outlets. Better aesthetics come at a price. Smart plugs are generally better for most folks The most significant advantage of a smart plug is its plug-and-play design — literally; any power receptacle can host a smart plug with minimal effort. Alongside smart speakers and smart light bulbs, smart plugs are the easiest type of smart home technology to install. From there, you need only connect the smart plugs to your smart home for full functionality. As a renter, I exclusively use smart plugs because my lease forbids me from doing any electrical work. They form the backbone of my smart home, something I’ve covered extensively in other CNET articles. Roughly, half of my smart plugs control a series of grow lights for my houseplants; some manage a DIY ventilation system, while others control accent lighting, and the rest help me track energy usage during product testing. Although they are best suited for renters like me, smart plugs are equally effective for homeowners. The key is their portability. I can move a smart plug in seconds, while the same task with a smart outlet requires a screwdriver and a trip to the breaker box. If a device needs to switch locations but retain its smart powers, a plug makes that easy, while a full outlet may prevent it. Choose the best fit for you Generally, most homeowners will benefit from using a combination of smart plugs and wall outlets rather than relying on a single type. This helps reduce the costs of swapping most outlets for smart ones, while also giving you the flexibility to add other smart plugs as needed. Renters should consider using smart plugs unless their landlord plans to install smart outlets for them.
